My boyfriend lives in the village this tea shop is in and I’ve gone twice with him before to look around and went in only the other day on Saturday. Each time this cafe has been busy and overcrowded and I’ve felt so bad for the staff but each time, they’ve been exceptional. Smiley, friendly, quick and good at their jobs especially in a busy Christmas period. The food is beautiful and always quick and hot out of the kitchen; my eggs benedicts have always been perfect. I wanted to get everyone’s names so I could leave them here but they were so busy I couldn’t ask and they were so understanding when we moved tables and screwed up their seating charts even if we didn’t mean too. I can’t wait to come back again and try more of the menu, I hope all the staff enjoy their Christmas and know that they’re brilliant.

Lovely breakfast this morning with friendly staff. Very much open . In response to the previous comments from the local curtain twitching sleuths, the story was from 2 years ago whilst the owner was managing health issues, has been open ever since . P.s i love baked beans

Wonderful old world charm in whole place. Tucked away and looks closed but go in, you'll find friendly owner, what a gent, and chatty young assistant. Proper home made cakes, pies, and only wish I'd brought tupperware to take some home! The doorstop bacon sandwich was soft and delicious which kept me going walking the towpath all day.

The very best home made victoria sponge cake with home made jam and fresh cream I've ever had , and a very generous portion and the pot of hot tea, was enough for 2.5 cups. My friend had cake and fresh coffee, a big mug, and not instant. Very good for the price, and open fire lit, The tea room is old fashioned, but I'd rather have this than a rubbish brew and manufactured cake any day!! Served with a smile, and sense of humour, and we sat outside with our dogs after a lovely walk over Kinver. I will definitely be back for a lunch as the delicious food being served to other guests looked awesome.
